How Best To Use Your Air Conditioning on the Sunshine Coast

For the majority of homes and commercial buildings across the country, air conditioning is something that is considered a necessity and essential.

The hot summer months can be absolutely punishing, and without air conditioning, conditions can often be unbearable!

Here at Comfort Solutions, we also understand that running air conditioning on a regular basis can make a big dent in your finances and budget over the course of a year.

That doesn’t mean, though, that you have to switch it off and suffer!

Here are some great tips for how to get the most efficiency out of your home or business air conditioning on the Sunshine Coast.

Even when you are tempted to crank it up, it is always best to keep your air conditioner at a constant and steady temperature. Being stable in this way means that it doesn’t have to use as much power to do what you want it to do.

When using your air conditioning system, it is more efficient to close all of the windows and doors in your home so that the system doesn’t have to work so hard to achieve a set temperature. It isn’t working as efficiently if hot air from the outdoors is coming in to warm the room.

Try not to use your hot appliances like ovens and dryers at the hottest points of the day. Doing so is obviously going to raise the internal temperature of your environment, which in turn means that the air con has to work harder in order to cool everything down again.

Draw the curtains in rooms that you aren’t spending any time in. This extra protection from the sun will help to keep spaces cooler, and therefore the air conditioning won’t be working so hard to cool down unused spots around the home.
